American Legion Code of Sportsmanship

I will:
Keep the Rules;
Keep Faith with my teammates;
Keep my temper;
Keep myself fit;
Keep a Stout heart in defeat;
Keep my pride under in victory;
Keep a sound soul; A clean mind;
And a Healthy body.

The Post

Helmuth-Ingalls Post 232 is located in Franklin Springs, NY. The Post is named in honor of Frederick P. Helmuth, the first Clinton man to die in World War I, and brothers Richard and Ted Ingalls, the first two Clinton men to die in World War II. The Ingalls brothers died on December 7, 1941 during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Since 2008 the Helmuth-Ingalls baseball team has worn the initials “JS” on the back collar of their jerseys in honor of Cpl. John Sigsbee of Waterville, NY who died while serving our country in Iraq. Cpl. Sigsbee was a member of Post 232.

Helmuth-Ingalls primarily recruits players from the Clinton Central School District, and plays home games at the Clinton Varsity Baseball Field. In recent years, players have also come from the nearby towns of Hamilton, Madison, and Waterville.
