Congratulations All-Stars!

Congratulations goes out to Helmuth-Ingalls’ 2009 All-Star selections: Jake Ross (P), Lee Foxton (SS) and Tyler Heck (CF). All three proved that they were among the top players in the league throughout the season, demonstrated by the following:
- Foxton led the league in hits (30), was third in average (.492), and seventh in runs scored (18)
- Heck tied for second in hits (28) and stolen bases (15), was fourth in average (.444), and sixth in runs scored (19)
- Ross led the league in strikeouts (58), was third in wins (4), and fifth in ERA (2.42)
Foxton and Ross were awarded trophies for their league leading statistics, marking the third time in four years that Post 232 has had at least one league leader winner. (In 2007, no awards were presented) .
In Tuesday night’s All-Star Game at DeLutis Field, the Gold Division topped the Blue Division 5-3. Love Post’s Cody Hitt was named game MVP with two hits and a run scored, to go along with a brilliant pitching line of 2 perfect innings pitched, including 4 strikeouts.
In a pregame ceremony, Smith Post’s Kyle Richardson was named the Oneida County Player of the Year for the third consecutive time.
